A CD player finished in wood to sit as furniture, not electronics

The wood finish and compact body were chosen so the unit reads as a piece of furniture in a room rather than a piece of gear. Underneath, it bridges old and new sources deliberately — a CD tray sits alongside Bluetooth with NFC pairing and a USB input, and a phone or tablet can stand in as the remote instead of a dedicated one.
