The dock accepts the iPad in portrait or landscape and tilts to set a viewing angle, treating orientation as something the user chooses rather than the dock. Dual speakers and a physical remote were kept deliberately simple — sit the iPad down, and playback, charging and sound are handled without touching the tablet again.
